What have you done to your DEFENDER today?

Just got the parts today to rewire instrument lights with LEDs. Just waiting on the parts to connect it to the old harness. I'll have a short writeup later in the week for anyone else looking to do this.
Already done its just a case of changing the bulbs.

Oh wow, I wish I was smart enough to just try changing the bulbs....

I'm guessing you have either unmolested original gauges, or you have newer VDO gauges. Either way, that was not the case with my gauges, thus it was not as simple as changing the bulbs.

Through some freebie PIAA lights on my bumper before our trip out west. Also installed a couple of Expedition Exchange jerry can mounts that I've had sitting in a box for a while.

Changed the fuel filter, and finally got the last of the gear oil out of the R380 (previous owner had clutch replaced, shop filled it with wrong stuff, I put in MTL 1000 miles ago and put new in again yesterday)

New passenger seatbelt assembly, new bolts for the floor bracket @ door

Doug,

Any reason why you didn't spring for the galvy pallets? I half expected to see a britpart sticker on them too...

Today was not all that bad... I re-upholstered the crash pad... Got it installed and added Jason's vents.

I think it came out great.

Also, test fitted the gauge cluster.

In my case the pallets would be more likely to say Exmoor Trim. Seems like every single truck we are building has all new interiors.
FWIW I'm more of a Bearmach/Allmakes guy.
