What have you done to your DEFENDER today?

How could they not be cooperative? There are only 4 bolts!!

Therein was the problem...I had the old style - 2 bolts per end instead of one.

I just used 4 of the 8, but I'm slightly off center now. Not really noticeable while seated, but a huge PITA when I want to remove the seat box lids.

Need to drill holes in the middle of the captive plates (between the two holes per end that are already there), just haven't had time yet. :D

Added a Knightsbridge Overland cover to the middle row big 'ole bench seat earlier this week. Now matches the front seat covers.

Great custom made product.

Worked on the battery box today. Odyssey 2150 going in. Finally taking the time to shorten and recrimp cables, covering unused factory holes with plugs and remounting fuse boxes etc. Good therapy

Build a mount that has a bolt or stud in the middle where you want that hole to avoid the massive amount of holes. I did the drill line you described on a truck and then just lived with the slightly off center and pull the battery cover up thru the seat opening instead of sliding it out. Much easier.

After a lot of trial and error on my daily driver in the UK, I've decided every modification to my 110 I have still is easy to undo and return to original factory for the day I become a complete purist.

Finally got around to removing the crumbling bonnet insulation...5 minute job took 30 due to one stripped screw.

I cleaned the garage in hopes that I can do something to the Defender some day in the future.

Replaced the ignition lock, which completely sucked, and now just passed off the brakes to a local shop to finish.

I'm more about function that about flair. I know some folks use Velcro straps, I'm going with zip ties. I'll post up some pixs when I get home.

Just got the parts today to rewire instrument lights with LEDs. Just waiting on the parts to connect it to the old harness. I'll have a short writeup later in the week for anyone else looking to do this.
