Completed the fitment of a safari equip extra tank on my 90. PIA to install, especially the connection between the two tanks. But dropping 18 gallons in (there was some left in the tank) was sweet. No I can go places without having to plan on finding gas stations ever 125 miles or so. Noticed there was no more of the dribbling in the last 2-3 gallons that I used to have to do. Having run out of gas a couple of times, fuel gauges are horribly inaccurate. Thankfully once I was right outside my home. Stole gas from the lawn tractor got me to the station....

Will be putting the old filler pipe up fs shortly.

To all:

Are there any good tips for installing this? In the back of my head I somewhat feel like I am going to be laying across the front seats with my feet stretched out the back in uncomfortable positions. And the wires aren't going to be long enough and I'll be crimping close to the dash.

Is there a write up somewhere? Video?
It's easy... You need to cut the old connector and move to the new one individually so you don't mess up.

I'll do it at some point, but the Blue Sea stuff I can stay there for a while... I need to work less and drive the truck. :)

Great thanks. Stinks that Home Depot/Lowes doesn't have these since I have so much store credit.

That is what I figured just not looking forward to it.

If you drive the truck it leaks less. :)

It's not that bad... It took me less than an hour to do mine. Granted that I used to do this shit for a living... but that was many moons ago.

You have an accurate vision. I do one fuse @ a time so that the posistions are the same (ie so I dont screw it up.
The Iwiss tool posted looks like a good one for half the money.
This is the one I use http://www.britishwiring.com/Ratcheting-Crimping-Tool-for-Terminals-p/pr4.htm

Now days I do these in the living room in my leather chair with the tv going.
I do these when when we fully disassemble a truck as opposed to trying to do them in the truck anymore like I did on Trey's first 110.

I finished my interior tub lighting inspired by Don's Blue Mule thread on the other site.
LEDs on the sides and made a little bracket for a tailgate light.
The back one lights up the step bumper/hitch area when the door is open.

insulated interior

we had a heat wave in NorCal last month and everything inside the truck was hot - 125F (plastic bits) and 135+F (metal bits) just driving on hwy - ambient was around 110F. So, decided to insulate the cab. Bought about 100sqft of heat insulation from amazon ($70) and wrapped most of the horizontal surfaces of the truck.

Weather has cooled off since, but after 90min hwy driving, I was seeing between 10F difference metal floor panel with & without insulation, and in battery box (panel closest to frame&muffler), about 30F surface temp differences between painted metal (130F) and insulation (95F, IIRC) on the same panel/face. So, I'll wrap the rest of the battery box.
I plan to put the HAM radio inside the center console box...and that inside was was an oven. Hopefully, multiple layers of this down the center will keep things cool enough not to fry the radio.

The heat barrier seem to work pretty well, IMO. This Insulation is not as expensive as some other top-brand thermo shields/barriers out there. So, I didn't have high expectations... esp. when truck is all metal, cats & muffler are inches from frame and panels, no heat shield, whole thing not air tight, carpet is made of burlap with vinyl covering.
And it does require spray adhesive, but for the money and time spent taking things apart... I think it was worth it. Some carpets sticks out a bit b/c the insulation is thicker,... but no one really notices anyways.

Here is the product. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00PX2C8DC/
I used the 3M Super90 (?) spray adhesive. Took a couple days to wrap the inside.
