Needs to say "beefy" a little more...This video explains the pricing... beefy = costly.
I'd have a very hard time with an F-250 equally in a SoCal grocery store parking lot and on Mineral Creek in Colorado.Due to economies of scale, Ford will sell you a larger, heavier, even 'beefier' F-250 for much less than the Gren.
There are several auxiliary coolers behind that fat ugly front bumper on a Grenadier. Not sure if there's an elegant way to replace it.^ These trucks do look good in action. It's mostly the front end that doesn't work for me aesthetically (likewise with the New Fenders, though that has a very different look). The right kind of brush bar could fix that for both.

I suspect that the real issue is the fact that this is a low-volume vehicle (for better or worse).

That video was still well worth watching, and the Gren. is slowly growing on me.
You sent me down the 'build your own' rabbit hole... perhaps the most extensive options list I've seen. "Onboard scales," "trailer TPMS," etc.My next door neighbor owns several ford dealerships and is always trying to get me to upgrade my 2015 F250 to a new one. To get one reasonably equipped youād be spending $80k and to get what I have now (leather and a rear locker) itās well over $90k. This also isnāt really an off road vehicle, but it is great in many ways.
I would argue that an F250 is a more viable off road vehicle than a new defender. Itās only .6ā wider, but has a truly selectable rear locker, 1000 ft lbs or torque, and an infotainment system that actually works.
Great group of vehicles.
My ā24 only has the black screen of death occasionally š. They have made progress with OTA updates in all seriousness.and an infotainment system that actually works.
The front end is pretty fugly. Looks great from other angles though.^ These trucks do look good in action. It's mostly the front end that doesn't work for me aesthetically (likewise with the New Fenders, though that has a very different look). The right kind of brush bar could fix that for both.
Somebody already came up with a kit that transplants the Defender's front end onto a Grenadier. The front end is pretty fugly. Looks great from other angles though.
