Grenadier

I think I like it. Nice bumper that holds a full size winch too!

Always felt better easily seeing the drum while winching and re-spooling yet that’s always the setup I’ve had. Thx.
Well... This is what an exposed winch looks like on a Grenadier:

It is very functional, accessible, the bumper centersection is very well made, but... personally, I'd go with a tucked-in winch.

I think it was Khan that tried to do something similar. I looked on their website, but I don't see it anymore.

I do hope Ineos will revise the front end when they do a design refresh.

Would be nice, but I bet the JLR legal team would be all over them...

The other change I'd like to see are the grab/tie down bars. Just don't love how they look set in those alpine window cut outs.

Visually, I think the Grenadier looks great from the rear angles. It has that cool blocky look.

I can't get over thinking that those plastic panels behind the "grab bars" are going to end up being terrible water traps.

I'd like to see someone develop inserts that are convex and seal the area. Sure, there would need to be a way to get their fancy pre-wired power out, but the potential water ingress thing just really bothers me.

Seems that sales of Grenadiers has dropped off a cliff now that first adopters have had their bite of the cherry. Plenty of new ones sitting on dealer lots.
They’re appearing on used lots now. Local MB dealer has two at last count.

I'd say the NAS 110's in 1993 and the Grens today occupy similar spaces in the market. But they've built a heckuva lot more Grens than they did NAS 110's.
Gren has the advantage of an auto trans but isn't as easy to get in/out. In general, neither are first choices for DD's.
I don't think today's demand for pimped out Defs bleeds over into Grens. Those Defs are status symbols, whereas the Gren is just a damn good truck.
