Grenadier

I feel like every day this vehicle becomes more of the 2020 Defender that the community thought was coming. I hope the LR leads/engineers had as much enjoyment building the Def2 as Ineos is building this.

While I have an open invite to go test drive for fun a Freelander XL, I have no desire to. It leaves me cold. $76k for a loaded version and they haven’t even figured out how to build in a trailer brake controller??

I don't anyone wearing a muscle shirt and that much hair gel "engineering" a 4wd. I would prefer a some fat dude, preferably from South America smoking a cigg, wearing a cutoff tee and preferably barefoot.

These guys should just improve the shortcomings of the Defender? Make it more like a Land Cruiser, reliable, moderately better HVAC and a little more weather proof..... Also galvanize everything...

Here’s a couple of photos taken in London today. Ineos next to a GWagen.

The North American “utility SUV” market is going to be saturated at the low end by the Wrangler and Bronco. The high end by the Defender 2/Freelander XL, Grenadier and G wagon.

I saw the live feed of it driving out (and recorded it) but the video wasn't that great. This guy has a better walkaround of it.

I hate being "that guy" but in no part of the video did it actually show the grenadier pulling that boat. I wouldn't waste my time with misleading media spots if I were them.

I was hoping for more too but realized really that it's not at all about the grenadier. My guess from what I saw on social media is that it's a chase vehicle of sorts and likely catching a ride to get some more miles and road time in what NZ has to offer.

Agreed. I just liked the shots of it. Kind of like the other shots recently.

I feel slighted for info on this one. I guess tires were literally the actual message...
