I've been trying to find out info about the production line. I'm not sure if they've started producing customer vehicles yet. They previously said July, but they claim to be on schedule.
I don't think any deliveries have happened, as all contracts across the pond have been delayed. Not sure about production, but they stated in the UK they were 1 month behind original estimates. I think there is a FB group if anyone is into it...

I think it’s the Fiat multipla of SUVs.

It just looks a little weird.

The brush bar looks good though.

The gen 1 Fiat Multipla is amazing. The six seats in that thing are super roomy. Everything else about it is very Fiat.

Isuzu Vehicross takes the award for most Fiat Multipla of any SUV. This just has weird fog lamps. Nothing else is too far off from any SUV offering for this type of vehicle.

Anybody else think “A proper Handover” looks/reads/sounds intentionally similar to “A proper Land Rover”?

Isuzu Vehicross and Pontiac Aztec.

Two vehicles that make you wonder WTF were they thinking?

The first ones to get one will attract a lot of attention and be besieged by questions. "What is it? Who makes it? How do you like it?" etc. Especially from people like me. Lol.

I think the Grenadier looks amazing. It's about as close as Ineos could make it look to the original Defender without Land Rover being able to have a successful lawsuit against them.

Give LR time. It took Jeep 10 years to finally decide sue AM General/General Motors because of the Hummer.

And they ultimately sued over the grille design if memory serves me correctly. I believe they lost the suit, as well since no one would reasonably confuse the two. LR will also be dealing with courts outside of the US which tend to find these sorts of things ridiculous. Sort of how McDonald’s lost the Big Mac trademark after going after Supermacs enabling The King to chill in his BK lounge and troll Mickey Ds nutz about as hard as someone could be trolled.

IIRC, Rover did sue, and lost. Part of the testimony involve showing silhouettes of Defenders to average people asking them to identify it. Most said "jeep". Once that was in evidence, it was difficult to say they stole the design...

This would be true with an actual old defender as well.

My sources indicate that this is an ongoing lawsuit

Yes it was over the grill. Jeep said the 7 slotted grill was theirs. I met a guy at a Hummer event whose dad owned a Jeep parts place in South Bend area. Not jeep acres. GM's attorneys borrowed a bunch of jeep grills he had and brought them to court and asked which Jeep grill people will confuse them with. Not all were 7 slotted.
