Correct... CA is still pending.

We got the packet overnighted yesterday as well (nice surprise on my return from AZ). - had some interesting conversations with the crew at Expo about the installation and will be digging into the project next week.

Also 1999 is the cutoff, not that effects Land Rovers, but that's the cutoff year...

Last they said, they won't release it as a 49 state (at least not yet) so there really is no timing established for the release. They originally told me they would released dates in April and here we are now in May with no real idea in sight of the actual date. This non-commitment on date is the only reason I went away from the R2.8--- I just wouldn't hold your breath on getting it before summer (hopefully) unless you are the one of 25 (and not all 25 are rover shops--I know at least one is going to the FJ market). If they would have at least given a price I may have held on to hope...

I was told that sevral were headed toward the Land Rover world, no real details, just a comment "don't be suprised to hear about these in a couple of restorations" from the guy's at the booth at Expo.

Frank- you know I'm as far from California as you can get. In my case the truck is a cute little grey epa exempt import getting a newer approved engine so it checks the box's.

Cummins had made it clear to the test group in an earlier communication that the installer is responsible for making certain the vehicle conforms applicable laws.

Glad to hear you are going down this path as well Brian. Looking forward to this project.

this is great news. I'm patient and appreciate the pro's working out the install details. My next 110 is going to get a new galvy frame, and I'm curious to hear about what motor mounts and tranny works best.

First a D90 on a jeep frame, and now a scout on a jeep frame? WTF?'

I agree that D90 on a Jeep frame is pretty lame. One of the guys on D-90 Source made a good point that they did it to get all viewers as it is a show. As much as there are odd things to a LR frame like the crap catcher back cross member I think the overall architecture and the thickness of it is really good.

The Scout - it started as a leaf sprung and who knows the condition. Being IH it was probably robust tho. Overall - a Jeep frame with coil suspension for that Scout doesn't bother me too much.

You have my word on it, not going to install this into a Jeep chassis.

Definitely looking forward to seeing this project come to fruition. I know you'll be burning the midnight oil making it work.

I think more a case of the LR frame takes way to much custom fab to install 1t axles & 4 links. The Jeep is already linked & just needed an off the shelf long arm kit etc... Add to that Ian is a Jeep guy.....
