What have you done to your DEFENDER today?

Because it's winter, I tested out a bimini top that was given to me by an attendee at Metal Dash this fall. It was 27 degrees on my way to the dump today. A fume curtain I nabbed from Zack few wks back made all the difference.

I've been looking for hood hinges and those look great.. and if they're functioning well, even better. Are those still available? I can't find them after a quick search.

all amazing stuff...

Replaced the broken Instrument cluster bits with aluminum cowl & new Facia.

Working on the Allisport heater core replacement at the moment. Using Jim C's guide on here.

Nice. While ya have the heater core out and hood off..check those connections at the bulkhead. Assuming this is NAS, one connector is the fuel pump and created a couple seasons of flatbed grief for me until I sorted it out..and replaced with a deutsch connector pictured.

I have a bad habit of not working on the truck as much as I enjoy using it.

It really is amazing what a completely stock Defender will take you through. I did manage to get it stuck during this outing. The boghole was a great reminder I should probably invest in a locker or two.

I did a little work on my 110 yesterday. I'm still working on rewiring the truck and now working from the front to the rear of the vehicle. But before I got to the wiring I decided to get started with a simple project. I had just received a spare injection pump back from Blue Ridge Diesel after a rebuild. This was a good time to install the dynamic timing advance spacer.

While doing a LS swap on a 300 Tdi D90 a while ago I saved a full Genuine hand throttle setup, so I bolted the lever to the injection pump while I had it on the bench.

I want to finish all of the factory wiring before worrying about wiring accessories, but also wanted to button up the front end, so I ran the wires for the Hella 550s. I routed the wires through the wing following the factory harness.

Of course I found another shop's quality work which was a loose ground installed in the wheel liner.

I put a nutsert in there and used an actual bolt and star washer to secure this AC ground. I was able to then put the grill back in and reinstall the eyebrow.

Moving onto the interior... I had removed the electric windows after breaking several regulators, so I no longer needed the switch plate in the dash. I wanted to keep my gauges and needed some USB ports, so I got a new panel from SDO and installed with one constant and one ignition powered USB port

@jymmiejamz is there any support behind the flat spots on that bumper? I assume that is an original? I have an RN, where the holes are on the angle..

This is an original Mantec bumper which is why it is mounted there. There is no additional bracing, but there is what looks to be an Expeditionware backing plate.

I actually had the RN version of this bumper on my D90. The RN version is definitely a stronger setup, but I prefer the way it looks with the tow jaw mounted further out.

You might want to go with higher output USB-C
