One of the best ever, in my opinion

I have a MS271 which is a monster but for most of the jobs I need around the house I grab the MS250. Much lighter and way better for above head cutting but strong enough to get through big items. Although it can be a pain in the ass to start sometimes. The MS271 fires up at any time.

Another very impressive saw is the MSA200: https://www.stihl.com/STIHL-power-t...ainsaws/22116-1508/MSA-200-C-B-tool-only.aspx

I got it for working on bike trail stuff. I can break it down and it will fit in a backpack and makes no noise in the woods which can be very important. It may take a while and an extra battery but it will cut some good size logs.

My favorite Stihl item in the shed tho is the telescopic pole with arbor saw attachment. I can keep most of my trees trimmed up nicely with this setup. https://www.stihlusa.com/products/pole-pruners/pole-pruner-accessories/ps80/

I picked up an msa200 saw two years ago. Keep it sharp and it can do great things. My gasser saw should be sold off as it never gets used. Just ordered the Stihl Kombi KMA135r

Hell - I haven't even sharpened the chain all last summer and it still cuts great. It was my most used saw this past year.

That Stihl Kombi looks very interesting. You wear the battery back pack and feed the attachment with wires? That would be really nice on items like weed trimmers where they can start to get heavy. Also not having the noise is a huge plus. I'll have to look at them next time I'm at the local Stihl dealer. I have a Red Max commerical back pack blower and trimmer and they work great but I feel they are perfect candidates for battery power.

I feel like there is a good business plan in there as well: a landscaping company with only battery powered machines - double the fee and get all the Tesla owners with 10k sq/ft homes ;)

The Stihl 131 kombi requires external battery pack and connecting cord. Those things are $1k. The kombi 135 has the AP battery slot in the head. Heavier yes but but no additional battery expense.
You won’t find the 135 in stores. Supply is very limited. And delivery is expected to take weeks.
Whenever I travel to SC, I have to take tools galore with me. The Kombi set up will allow me to break the tools “ in half” for easier packing.
As much as I love my old Red max trimmer, I could be saying goodbye to that in favor of battery. But I won’t let go of my Stihl backpack gas blower.

Anyone have a good "Best" chain sharpener that they could post here? I use my Stihl at least once a week. Have cut down 20 trees in the last six months alone. But I can't keep the thing sharp for anything. I usually get through one 18-20" alder or fir and I'm done for an hour while I resharpen.

I'll add the Primo XL ceramic grill. If you have the patience for charcoal grills it really can't be beat. 225 for smoking or 800+ for pizza or searing. Made in the USA too (Georgia, I think). Sounds like a gimmick but the oval shape makes it much easier to use.

Bonus points if you pair with a Thermoworks Signal and Billows to control over wifi. I have a RecTec pellet smoker too, and will choose the Primo for versatility and flavor any day.

These Snap On flush cut side cutters are the best I’ve used. They are incredibly sharp after years of use in the shop and essential when cutting zip ties flush. I can’t stand getting cut by zip ties. For normal side cutters, I like the long Snap On ones and also the long Knipex ones.

Funny, I just picked up some Knipex flush cutters off the truck this week.

If you do a lot of zip ties, a third hand tool is awesome to have:

I feel silly posting this but since Kerrygold butter has already been mentioned (deservedly so):

Bonne Maman is a French brand of jam, marmalade, compotes, desserts, cakes and biscuits owned by Andros. It is Andros's leading brand.

The Bonne Maman brand was created by Andros in 1971 as a mass-produced product with a home-made feel, with a handwritten-style label, gingham-patterned ("motif Vichy") lid, and a name meaning "granny".

Andros promotes Bonne Maman jams as being made with "five simple ingredients that could be found in your kitchen" and without high fructose corn syrup, additives, or preservatives.

My wife introduced me to this brand years ago, it's the best. They've gotten a lot of press recently as the family that started and owns the company has been claimed to have helped, harbored and protected jewish children fleeing Nazi Germany before and during the war.

I have the kombi system also. Great set of attachments. Probably looking to sell a few as well as the attachments that I bought i don't use. But there are others that I want. Decisions.

Chainsaw and Backpacker blower are awesome as well. I have never had any outdoor tools that start as well as stihl.
