I'm in the medical/pharmacy research analytics space, so our work just ramped up 4x. I just recently picked up an all original low mileage D1, like it came out of the box, original books, fobs, radio card and all. Will spend some time on that, cleaning out the barn, time with the kids and fingers crossed I get my book draft (children's book) finished.

Employment:
If anyone needs work, let me know... I am hiring https://rxante.bamboohr.com/jobs/view.php?id=84 I also have some spare RRC parts if anyone in financial despair needs parts, happy to help. I also need a roof rack transported from Lynchburg VA to Chattanooga (or Atlanta, Nashville, Knoxville) if anyone is out of work looking to make a few dollars. Lastly, Second Daily is always looking for leads on great Rovers (or Cruisers) and help writing the ads and promoting the site, so if you find someone selling, and or can help make a sale, we would create a profit sharing agreement to all connected sales for you.

Since I'm mostly-retired and have just been busy with projects at home this impacts me far less than it does others. We do miss going to the neighborhood watering hole, though. 'went there the last night (late, when we knew there's be few there and 10-15 foot distancing was easy) and most all of the employees were being laid off. They're still doing takeout so we do try to help them (and us) by taking advantage.

Proud of my son. He was looking forward to coming to Bend for spring break but has decided not to. He thinks it's immoral to unnecessarily travel 200+ miles right now. Plus he doesn't think it's a good thing to go to a residence where several 60+ people reside. I guess we raised him right.

Things are not looking good in the U.S.A. So far, we're on the same growth rate as Italy, perhaps even worse. And there's enough people that don't care that it seems the growth will continue.

I don't like that chart as it's misleading by not comparing infected as a percentage of population of the country. Larger countries will have larger amounts infected. HKG is 2.25% the size of the US population. HKG would be much closer to the US for infected as percentage of population than this chart shows. South Korea is the only leveled out data set.

Here is the per capita data. https://ourworldindata.org/covid-testing

It won't make you feel any better....... The US testing rate is VERY low and the case increase rate is very high. If it follows the current trajectory, the USA will pass Italy in a few days and China within a week.

The purpose of the previous graph was not to show total number, but exponential growth rates. The US rate is trending higher and faster than everyone else. It is early days, but another week or two will let us know where it is heading. The end number to watch will be the death rate.

All true. I looked at the numbers when it first started. South Korea had a really high number infected with very very few deaths. Having spent over a year there I feel like that country has always had its business in a sock.

Total deaths as a percentage will be the best way to judge it all after the fact.

On a positive note I am meeting neighbors that never left their house other than to go to and from work. Everybody is out walking, exercising and doing their own yard work. People in general appear to be more friendly and better mannered at the grocery store, Costco and the Ace Hardware.

Guys, please refrain from posting stats, infection numbers, Wall Street data, etc. All of that stuff can be found on any news site right now. Posting that stuff just spreads woe, even if it's 100% true and objectively important. Let's keep NAS-ROW a place where people can escape from all of the misery. Thanks.

So. Texas was pretty normal. I was driving on I40 and was unfortunately only in the state for a short period of time. Virginia seems pretty normal aside from restaurants, stores, and malls. Lots of traffic on the roads here and I see plenty of people walking around.

Most of the hotel staff were all thankful they haven’t been fired, but are all expecting it if this goes on for longer which was sad. I did get my first hot breakfast made fresh at a hotel just past Bristol in VA, so that was nice. I left a very large tip because I just feel so bad about how screwed the travel industry is right now.

On to the good stuff. Shit pictures because I don’t care for staging, but I got a SCAR and a Glock 45. Don’t care what anyone else thinks. I’ve wanted the SCAR for a while after shoosting one. I intended on getting a Remington 700 in 308, but they had none at the stores I looked at and this was just hanging there saying buy me. I think my brother and I will enjoy shooting this rifle for some time.

Yup. And 3 days later we're still on track.

Now is a good time to work on home projects and help "flatten the curve". Maybe I'll finally get around to finishing installing the seat heater wiring in the D-90. After I get done with a couple of what used to be called "honey-do's".

Congratulations on your SCAR. What a score.

Love the SCAR 17. I have one and put an Elcan SpecterDR optic on mine. It's a really neat piece of glass and probably one of the few things made by Raytheon that people like us can just go and buy.

I need to put a different muzzle brake on, or maybe a can. The stock muzzle brake is brutal and it really sucks to be shooting next to someone shooting a SCAR Heavy. I also want to put in the Geissele 2-stage trigger. The stock trigger is really a piece of crap and not befitting of the rifle.
