From this graphic I shared before you can deduce the following:
‘Width of tube’
530.67mm
‘Angle’
102°
(180° - the 78° shown for the inner angle)
‘Length of plate’
216.75mm
Method for length of plate is bit more complex as we need to make that dimension part of a triangle and use Pythagoras based on numbers we already know.
1. We have the 710mm, 530.67mm and 196.78mm measurements that relate to that general area around the protruding bar.
2. If we minus 530.67 from 710, you get 179.33. That tells us how much longer the internal bar is than the external one. Divide that by two and you get 89.67, which is one side of the difference.
2. If we form a triangle out of the 196.78 (a) and 89.67 (b) values, that leaves us with the ‘Length of plate’ (c) value. If we use Pythagoras, that value comes out as 216.75mm.
