New radiator cap and removed the front bumper on the 109. We will see just how bad the frame horn really is...

Tomorrow I may start removing the "rear heat" setup...

Waiting for the new oil pressure gauge line to arrive Monday for the 88.

It was time to change out the last of the hoses on my 05 D3 hse, which was a good thing as most of the plastic unions just snapped off. Also used the non-rear heat hoses as its Texas don't heat. Now gotta figure out why the rear air con no worky, not worky for seven years.

Ok so my younger brother has a TDv6 Discovery 4 in England. Bought used. He goes to the dealer who sold him the car to have a tow hitch installed with electrics. He’s only going to carry bikes but lights are mandatory. So they order the parts, and he goes in for the install.

Just one problem. They discovered it already has everything he needs.
Shakes head in disbelief....

Need to write up a list. Was going to hook the cooling system on the 109 back up, but I have more work to do. The heater in the bay is loose so need to sort that. New hoses are in order all the way around I think just as good practice.
Need an adapter to put the oils gauge line on the 88. It seems the part isn’t very common. A 3mj-4fj is needed. I will be doing some shopping this week.

Hi-tech fix ... the Perentie license plate light is on the tailgate. The power comes via this pair of connectors. The positive lead broke at the spade connector. I replaced both just for fun. I'd like to replace it with a weather-proof connector ... what name should I be searching for?

plenty of options...LR likes econoseal for factory. Deutsch and Weatherpack are superior in my opinion, but any would really work fine. @lordhelemt has the hookup on econoseal and they can be done with a regular crimper if careful.

Weatherpack. I bought a Weatherpack assortment on eBay that has been fantastic to have around for truck projects.

New brakes all around on the LR3. New calipers also installed, one on the front and one on the rear were sticking a bit so all 4 here we go. Also did the stainless steel brake line upgrade. They were Brit part...I was a little annoyed with the set. The fronts seemed long and no matter how you put them, one way would rub on the air strut and the other on the sway bar link. I ended up cutting up some defender radiator mounts to zip tie to the sway bar link and zip ties them to the Rubber on the link. I really didn’t see any way to let them ride naturally without rubbing on something without securing them to something. So that worked in the end.
But the friggin rear lines....if you have ever done them, the ends of the rubber/flexible lines key into holders to secure them for where the solid lines screw into. But the ends of the aftermarket lines were a little to big to fit into the mounts. I had to file the mounts open more to fit. They were about .3mm to big but enough you couldn’t force them in. So another annoyance with the install in an already friggin hot garage. There are other kits out there That have good feedback on disco3.co.uk. If I were to do it again I wouldn’t do the stainless. Wasn’t worth the hassle. My stock rubber lines were at 150k and still looked good.
Pic of the Moscow Mule break.

Anyone else realize that instead of using their daily driver generic commuter car for errands, they take their Land Rover instead?
Replaced the rubber “seal” between the bulkhead and hood.
