I used my Defender as a farm truck! Who knew these things could be used on a farm? Oh, and no, I did not get the tan top to match my horse.
This is one of my top fears. I take photos of everything in alignment and tightened with paint pen noting whats been touched.Always in the back of my mind was the thought “maybe I didn’t torque the tensioner bolt down properly”,
It’s a great idea. I do have photos of all the timing marks aligning, but for some reason skipped over this. The worst part is that the doubt crept in after I got the timing cover on the first time. It’s such a pain having 14 different sized bolts each needing to be torqued in a certain order that I couldn’t bring myself to undo it all just to check. Lesson learned though. This is one of my top fears. I take photos of everything in alignment and tightened with paint pen noting whats been touched.
behind all the weird things I do is a lesson or two learned.Lesson learned though.
What sliders are those with the step plate?Replaced drivers side lower door seal, (old one got torn). Added stainless threshold plates to rear door sills.

Picked those up at Rovers North years ago when I bought the 110. Not sure of they still carry them. What I really liked is that they were galvie and powder coated and the top plate is aluminum. I also added “Bully” aluminum side steps which I remove if I off road. What sliders are those with the step plate?
