Not Rover parts but camp gear. I haven’t used it yet but it’s all packed and ready for a night out camping. It is a kitchen pack for plates, cutting board and other items.

Oh yeah, I always use this stuff liberally with any fasteners, but without fail on stainless. I also use isolating washers to the greatest extent possible. I’ve also found that I have to be careful with bulk stainless from McMaster-Carr/Fastenall etc - i need to wire brush the threads first because the slightest burr or rough thread will bind up the bolt. I don’t use standard hex-bolts much anymore though. I’ve switched to flange-head metric machine screws from Bolt Depot. These more closely resemble the OEM fasteners that Land Rover switched to during the TD5 era

Great thread and inf. Jim! What is this Wurth stuff and where did you get it...cant read the writing. Also, what kind of isolating washers did you use on the roll cage?

The washers are these:
uxcell Nylon Flat Washers for M10 Screw Bolt 20mm OD 2mm Thick 200PCS https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07MXCC1YV/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_-VeREbRHKRFGS

as others mentioned, the Wurth stuff is AL 1100, which I bought in Germany. A tube lasts a long time but I apply it with the disposable brushes to not waste it and to not make a mess of my fastener. If you just stick a blob from the tube on the threads then most of it doesn’t go in the bolt hole.

Just in time for the the weekend install. Trans fluid and gear oil from Summit Racing. Ordered on Weds, here today with free shipping. Amazon prime was over a week out with everything else they’ve got going on. Plus it came with a $100 wine gift card of some sort and a coupon code for $20 off the next $100 purchase at Summit good until October. Nice work Summit!

Sometimes you forget a line item on an order and have to pay postage for 20 rivets.

No one chime in with criticism, I need genuine rivets in visible exterior locations. It’s my nature.
