Adapter for the LR part is what’s running on my OM swap. I forget what the sizes are exactly.Long shot since this thread seems to have died - but for those that have put a Mercedes engine in their Defender, how did you connect the thermostat so that the temp reads on the instrument/gauge cluster? Currently I have a digital readout mounted to the engine side of the bulkhead (mechanic installed) - which really does me no good while behind the wheel.

Should be pretty standard 3/8 npt and m14x1.5 on the Benz side.If you ever find any information on that (where you found it, what size, etc) I would be eternally grateful![]()
I used this on the oil cooler line. I am using the madman system for monitoring oil pressure. Depending on what mounts you are using you may have room to come directly off of the oil filter housing as well. I am LHD and using DPUK mounts, so it's pretty tight in that area.
Also the guys a DieselPumpUK have a nifty oil pressure sending adapter that makes installation of any standard or VDO gauge a breeze. Can T off that for both pressure and temp. Thanks for the tip. Mine is a RHD and in peeking down there, I see I might have some room to play with - though it does look tight. I'll take off the manifold later to get a closer look. So as a follow up question - any particular kit from Madman that you used? https://shopusa.madmandevelopments.com/collections/oil-pressure-measurement-kits
Second, did you run this to an oil pressure gauge in the dash, or just affix a pressure gauge right to it? I'm hoping to use a gauge in the dash.
Has anyone with on OM606 figured a way to read oil pressure? Or found an oil pressure sending unit that works on the 606?
