Land Rovers That Suck

At one point when I was stationed there, the exchange rate was about 340,000 Turkish Lira to the dollar. Car prices were shown in scientific notation they were so large.

My friend just sent me this pic. On first look, it's nice and clean and I like the softtop and half doors. But then the 8 lug axles and it seems it's on a completely different chassis. Then of course the LS swap. The interior is completely different including the dash (and not just to the Puma style either). I'm sure it drives great and looks the part but when is a Defender not a Defender anymore?

And the same shop did this NAS 90 mods:

The poor NAS. Besides the cosmetic changes who needs 750hp in an NAS 90? And converted to 2wd?

Black Bridge essentially builds new vehicles, there's not much Defender about them besides the VIN & appearance. They are on Wrangler Unlimited chassis IIRC

Hmmm. Several years of parts hoarding at work.

That Range Disco looks fun. May have been a roll-over salvage. Standard grill would look much better though.

That was my guess with the Wrangler chassis. Ample axle and suspension configurations available so I can see why they go that direction. And they must be using the body kit that bolts onto the Wrangler chassis (the brand name is escaping me). I'm sure it drives great and the workmanship looks really good but if the only part that can be purchased at Rovers North is the badge then it is not a Defender anymore.

If you ever have a chance to look at one you should. I will bite my tongue now. Forget about sheet metal screws holding a roll bar to the body.

Ratrod anyone?
