I found this mystery part in an unmarked plastic bag in my seat box - apparently a gift from the previous owner. Any idea what it is? Steel surround with a bonded rubber bushing in the middle. 3" in diameter.
It resembles part of the clutch release bearing assembly...maybe???
If I had to guess, AUE2515 rear salisbury pinion seal
its a national brand Dana pinion seal. https://www.drivetrainamerica.com/4...fFTWj9R5fb3Oc4XeqEveaRCRkM33d4yoaAlo-EALw_wcB
i use this type its really easy to install
Yep, resembled the inner part of the assembly. Was also thinking possible rear pinion but doesn't match rover style...never considered Salisbury...looks like Zack called it. Hopefully you'll never need it!It does have that look about it - but it seems to be missing a part? View attachment 11927

Aren't those leather?
Yeah, but there are some aftermarket ones with rubber instead.
