Pound for pound generating electricity with fossil fuels is a wash as well. You've got to have a "green" source of electrons and those are limited.
Our electric utility is already 100% carbon-free, with fully renewable coming soon:

My attitude is: we gotta start somewhere.

Has anyone heard back from Ineos after they placed their order? I thought they said mid July. This is another missed date which is easy to correct with an update. I am starting to lose interest given the lack of follow through.

Converted my reservation to pre-order on 6/4/23. It was confirmed on 7/14/23, but between 6/4-7/14 absolutely nothing. I think early reservation holders are done and they are entering the later ones.

The Ineos website is getting updated now, I got my preorder info just yesterday.

Interesting move here. Ineos purchased Kavango to produce safari-type Grenadier conversions, complete with familiar Melvill & Moon canvas.

Reminds me of the Safari / Game Viewing 110 ECR did a few years back.

Its amazing what you can do if you have the $$$. From 86001 to the Safari. Sure hope the interior electrics can handle the odd monsoon rain.....

Over 1000 ahead of me. I like the idea of several thousand NAS Gren’s being built before mine!

Love the convo here but great place for grenadier specific info. Tons of info about aftermarket, issues, etc...sort of like the NAS-ROW for Grenadiers, if not already familiar.

starting to think about wheels. anyone have any favorites in mind? running stock? I know Evo's are made for it, and Method has options as well.

Not an aftermarket wheel fan - I mean they just hold your tires. I’m keeping the five stock 17” alloys and likely getting 255/80’s as soon as I get it home. Now, which tire I get is still under serious contemplation…

The stock steelies for me are bit too defender-ish...but I get it. I ordered with 17" steel as well. Looking forward to some potential wheel weight savings of alloys and like the look. Im getting groceries and kids at daycare but havent yet made a decision on what to get...if any.
