Pricing and specifications for an NAS Grenadier will be announced in Mid-May; last week of May the order banks open; and no down payment will be required.

So here’s a question for the brain trust.

I’m going to get a Grenadier. I am not certain if I’ll end up keeping it for the long run just based off anticipated usage. My original build was going to be pretty basic in either blue or red with a white roof. If I’m thinking I’ll end up selling it in a couple of years would a fully decked out all black one be more marketable?

It will certainly be a limited production run compared to the "competition," so I'd go with what you want... it's darned near impossible to say what's going to happen with the used market for niche vehicles. Who'd have guessed that the Heritage Land Cruiser would fetch $33k over sticker a year ago on BaT... or that G-Wagens would tank so quickly soon after. Highs and lows. If I were to wager, given the powerplant and transmission, which makes unreliability less of a concern, it's apt to have excellent resale.

So I was able to drive one today with the Trailmaster trim package. It was on a semi technical off-road driving course in the snow in CO. The main focus was on the downhill assist. I was not able to drive on a highway or normal roads. These are demo use only, no road use. The vehicle handled the course like a champ. It really has some serious chops.

I thought the hood was a little tall. I had a slight issue seeing over for obstacles at times. I am 6'3" and it was very comfortable. The throttle was responsive and the steering very tight. The undercarriage looks way overbuilt in a good way. As it is super tough.

The center display console will take some getting used to, and I noticed a slight glare on the passenger side displays was a little distracting. The buttons / knobs could also be a little distracting, and small children will be tempted to switch on everything I am sure. I went into the backseat and I could easily fit. I am slimmer / athletic, so I had plenty of room. Others may find it cramped if you need more side room.

The load space is enormous. I was very impressed with what I was able to see / use in the 15 - 20 minute drive.

this is my biggest gripe (really that 2nd row doesn't fold flat), not that it's not impressive but i often use my LR4 like a pickup truck..usually for defender parts...

glad you found it large enough, curious on what you compare to..

Even with 3rd row seats, the LR4 loadspace folds completely flat, allowing for a 6' tall, dirtbag fisherman to catch some zzzz's. Quite comfortably.

Not apparently so with the Grenadier.

It's a good opportunity for front runner or some other company to come up with a drawer set that raises the back floor even with the seat hump. I bet it won't be long till it's for sale especially since these are being delivered in the UK now.

My issues with fold-flat is that I always have other stuff back there that I need to move to make it usable anyway.

Two schools of thought:
Take the DeMuro route and order the spec that originally caught everyone's attention. I don't know if you order the Euro press color or the first travel color on the USA tour model. I am probably ordering the light blue that toured the USA in non-functional form.
Or loaded murder wagon.

I don’t need third row seating, or fold flat second row. It seems built exactly how I’d need it. Still waiting to hear if we can A la carte exactly what we want or will we be locked into one of two packages.

Looking forward to my test drive this Thursday!

Agree on the 3rd row seating not worthwhile yet having fold flat 2nd seats in my one vehicle compared to Rovers it does make a difference. For me the skis easily fit in yet not so much in the Rovers. Not a game changer yet if a new design why not offer it?
