Front Radius Arms (ROW D90 updated)

So I am looking at the space on my 24 spline front axles for my Radius Arms and I am thinking that I need the thicker type front arms.

That said I measured them with a caliper and got 51mm wide. From what I am reading online there are really 2 styles, narrow (early) and wide (later). Can someone advise on what the breakdown is and what other vehicles may have the wide variety?

Thank you!

I believe the are 100% compatible as are RR Classic arms. I don't think LR made specific anything suspension wise for any truck till the LR3 & the wide bodies.

I think some early RRC have a smaller diameter on the frame side. I had to modify the frame slightly on my '85 to make the RTE arms fit.

Just like the older 10 spline axle Defenders but you, the mounts can supposedly be bent a bit to accommodate the wider arms.

Disclaimer - I have never tried this but have read about it when I was researching the same subject a few years back.

I would love more details on that (as I was intending on putting 24 spline on my 10 spline truck)... Where they slide through the hole and those donut bushings go in on the chassis side?

I have 24 spline on a 10 spline truck, seems you need the disco trailing arms and they should fit without modification.

can you measure you 24 spline front axle Radius Arms slot?

Mine came in at ~51mm (well exactly) and I am curious if you disco ones are the same.

You got it. Ill try and measure when I get home tonight. If not for sure this weekend when I pull the front axle.

That is what I was thinking too (No mods) as the bushing part number at the chassis is the same.

Just the radius arms; wide vs narrow. Fit the correct width arms to match the axle - lengths are all the same and the chassis side (threaded/shaft) is the same on both versions.

bump, anyone confirm this with a set they have laying around.

I believe disco/RRC are 51MM

Just For Thread posterity there are three types of arms. Wide and narrow: rrc, def, disco

The third type is very early rrc that has narrow eyes up front and a smaller diameter pin for the frame bushing and nut in the rear of the arm. Super rare but out there!

All are the same length plus or minus a mm or two
