'86 Tithonus :: 1986 Land Rover Defender 110 2 Door

Been a long time since I updated this (not that anyone really cares but I like to use this thread to keep track). Added Goodrich Stainless Flex brake lines, an OME Steering Damper and a Battery cutoff switch. Also upgraded the dash with a RN Dash pad, SDO demister/defroster dash vents and a Raptor Engineering Binnacle End panel. Next up will be door refurbishment and adding a Grenadier to the fleet in December.

Got some coolant leaks fixed and had the local shop cut out the rusted door bottoms and install RN galvanized bottom door frames. They also installed Exmoor Trim Billet Aluminum door hinges (dirty in the pics) and now the doors close almost as satisfyingly as my Grenadier. Also had new RN door cards put in to replace the rotted out old ones and had SDO internal door handles put on. I think the doors are finally done (except the eventual re-paint and the mirror arms). The PAS box was replaced with a refurb on I had Don rebuild. Next up is billet aluminum bonnet hinges, fixing the rust on the rear crossmember and trouble shoot the windscreen washer. Long term is to get the Raptor Lining off the exterior and paint it, but that is not going to be easy. It's ;asked me a long time and hasn't faded, so not regretting it. It'll probably be a different story when I have to get it off. Hoping to get to RAW in March!
