I know Doug mentioned front cummins covers with spin on filters. Cummins 5475199 or 5569572 according to Quickdraws website. does Anyone know which number is correct or which they are using?

Engine ordered... can’t wait until the wife sees THAT credit card statement... always better to ask forgiveness....
Agreed! Now the waiting game.....only a little less painful than seeing the credit card statement....

I am in the middle of the swap. LHD Cummins R2.8 w/ AC, mated to the ZF22/24, and a LT230 (1.2).

If you have not ordered the Engine mounts from Quick Draw... go do it right now. It will save you days.

I purchased the Cummins AC compressor from Quickdraw, and it seems to fit in with the low mount bracket that is installed on the engine. It does have to be mounted with the hoses pointed down, but it can be modified for other mounting options.

The "Funniest" challenge so far has been taking the engine out of the crate. If you think you are going to be able to just lift it off the crate...well there might be more to it. You can't get the engine hoist legs under the engine, and lifting 900lb crate 10" to stuff bricks under it is tricky. Note: I am alone; with very limited tools. A harbor freight engine hoist, a couple of floor jacks, and I borrowed a transmission jack from my neighbor.

I can't see how the engine can move forward 2 inches and clear the Steering Box. I am assuming you will have it hovering over the steering box. My transfer case lined up in the original spot.

Everything else has been pretty easy. A special thanks to @Norton for talking me off the bridge last week.

OH...pics are on Instagram.

Looking forward to hearing how yours turns out.

I ordered everything from Quickdraw at the same time, including engine mounts. We will see when I get them--ordered in late March.

By 2" forward, I meant I was mounting it 2" forward from the original LT77/LT230 mounts into the R380/LT230 mount positions. That way the engine clears the bulkhead---it will be further back from the steering box than yours so no clearance issues. May even be able to fit the mechanical fan which would be my preference due to the drastic cooling ability over the electric fans.

I just ordered an LT230 from Ashcroft, sleeved with the HD cross pin. I have the Stumpy HD new in crate in the garage and I already have a new front cover for spin on filter and some other goodies. I am still, slowly, rebuilding the axles--have a front in assembly with GBR CV's and TruTrac all set up in the diff and I am in disassembly on the Sals and I have a Detroit that I will set up in that one and some HD 1/2 shafts coming from Ashcroft as well. 3.5 weeks till that is ready so I may have all the stuff around the same time... accept who knows on my Allisport shit--they don't even tell me how long it is going to take. It has been 3 months on that so far... so much for 8-10 weeks...

I am stopping worrying about it. The longer it takes, the more trouble I get into upgrading stuff...

when you get your lt230 make sure to do a good inspection when you receive it. Mine came with a cracked and leaking rear output, Ashcroft wouldn't do anything for me .

im going to stop using them entirely, the quality has gotten poor. Im switching over to winchester gears

I tried them. But on ordering I got unable to deliver to your country:

Might still have worked out if they got back to me but, as most UK vendors, they suck at communication. I have had just the opposite experience with my 18 years of dealing with Dave at Ashcroft. I have had nothing but good experiences from them. I have no comparison with Winchester other than they seemingly won't deliver to the USA.

Heavy Duty R380 (HD Casing and larger bearings): £1050

Day late, dollar short as mine is already in production but that is excellent info for future upgrades. Thanks!

Have you received any updates from Quickdraw yet? I ordered mine March 12....last I heard was Late June, early July (most likely July).
I also ordered a HD LT230 from Ashcroft...that arrived mid may....now I am also getting in trouble upgrading stuff... I just picked up a 300tdi wing (intake on RH side) to feed the cummins.
on a side note - I have learned all about the J19...and have that running well now (as well as 172K engine can run)...

I have been upgrading interior with Leather (steering wheel, cubby, grab handle, brake handle), custom knobs.
I was holding off on dash electrics upgrade until engine went in...might have to start that soon - got a 300tdi blade fuse box to replace the glass fuses - will allow for additional fused items.
the other desire on my list is axle upgrades - add ashcroft ATB and new axles....but I better save my money for the misc parts in the engine compartment.

No update from Quickdraw since 5/11. I asked about a week or two ago but if they haven’t responded by now…. It’d be nice to know as I’m trying to plan some vacation in August— but I’ve given up on June (obviously) and am 50/50 for July. Not blaming QuickDraw or anyone— we are living and recovering from a unique supply chain situation in the world, and many of my hours in a day are coordinating construction delivery schedules and issues in my work (I rep commercial lighting). So I get the delay, just wish a little more communication as I still have to be available for deliveries and it’s vacation time of the year.

I am getting close to pulling in garage and starting disassembly. I’m no longer in a hurry as It won’t be ready for summer. Maybe fall…
