Agreed! Now the waiting game.....only a little less painful than seeing the credit card statement....Engine ordered... can’t wait until the wife sees THAT credit card statement... always better to ask forgiveness....
Shay toon, what is your Instagram?I am in the middle of the swap. LHD Cummins R2.8 w/ AC, mated to the ZF22/24, and a LT230 (1.2).
If you have not ordered the Engine mounts from Quick Draw... go do it right now. It will save you days.
I purchased the Cummins AC compressor from Quickdraw, and it seems to fit in with the low mount bracket that is installed on the engine. It does have to be mounted with the hoses pointed down, but it can be modified for other mounting options.
The "Funniest" challenge so far has been taking the engine out of the crate. If you think you are going to be able to just lift it off the crate...well there might be more to it. You can't get the engine hoist legs under the engine, and lifting 900lb crate 10" to stuff bricks under it is tricky. Note: I am alone; with very limited tools. A harbor freight engine hoist, a couple of floor jacks, and I borrowed a transmission jack from my neighbor.
I can't see how the engine can move forward 2 inches and clear the Steering Box. I am assuming you will have it hovering over the steering box. My transfer case lined up in the original spot.
Everything else has been pretty easy. A special thanks to @Norton for talking me off the bridge last week.
OH...pics are on Instagram.

I ordered everything from Quickdraw at the same time, including engine mounts. We will see when I get them--ordered in late March. If you have not ordered the Engine mounts from Quick Draw... go do it right now. It will save you days.

I tried them. But on ordering I got unable to deliver to your country:when you get your lt230 make sure to do a good inspection when you receive it. Mine came with a cracked and leaking rear output, Ashcroft wouldn't do anything for me .
im going to stop using them entirely, the quality has gotten poor. Im switching over to winchester gears
That’s a bummer to hear— where did they leak?I’ve had a couple of Ashcroft LT230s leak out of the box.
Have you received any updates from Quickdraw yet? I ordered mine March 12....last I heard was Late June, early July (most likely July).I ordered everything from Quickdraw at the same time, including engine mounts. We will see when I get them--ordered in late March.
By 2" forward, I meant I was mounting it 2" forward from the original LT77/LT230 mounts into the R380/LT230 mount positions. That way the engine clears the bulkhead---it will be further back from the steering box than yours so no clearance issues. May even be able to fit the mechanical fan which would be my preference due to the drastic cooling ability over the electric fans.
I just ordered an LT230 from Ashcroft, sleeved with the HD cross pin. I have the Stumpy HD new in crate in the garage and I already have a new front cover for spin on filter and some other goodies. I am still, slowly, rebuilding the axles--have a front in assembly with GBR CV's and TruTrac all set up in the diff and I am in disassembly on the Sals and I have a Detroit that I will set up in that one and some HD 1/2 shafts coming from Ashcroft as well. 3.5 weeks till that is ready so I may have all the stuff around the same time... accept who knows on my Allisport shit--they don't even tell me how long it is going to take. It has been 3 months on that so far... so much for 8-10 weeks...
I am stopping worrying about it. The longer it takes, the more trouble I get into upgrading stuff...
