Started a central door locking project awhile back and got stalled half way through.
Finished it today and was very pleasantly surprised.
when I started I didn’t want to hack the doors up with a $50 eBay kit, so I bought the kit for the wires and the brain and then installed all factory looms and lock actuators in my later model doors. Door actuators all went in great, but then I ran into some problems trying to wire the cheap kit to the factory actuators. LR actuators had 4 wires, the eBay setup had 5.
after finally realizing they wouldn’t work together, I did some research and found a guy in the UK who can reprogram an older 10AS and make it work with the central locking and alarm apparently(just figured that out tonight)

My truck is a bit of a Frankenstein, the body was a 1999 TD5, with no electric windows or power door locks
Since it was just the body and loom I stayed with my existing 200tdi/ axles/ and frame.
weird thing is that I now seem to have the alarm and some type of ign cutoff even thought the TD5 and that ecu are gone.
I had no idea that little green box behind the dash did so much.
I just had to add three wires to the green box and wire them to the wires from the doors, it was easy and really straight forward.
