    Original spare tire Michelin

^ Not going to disagree here - not insinuating this would fulfil the roll of "spare" tire. If someone wants the classic look hanging of the back of their rig this looks the part.

    Original spare tire Michelin

I have an original 1996 Michelin spare tire. Don't know if there's any purists out there that want or need it, I'd rather offer it up than recycle it.

    Frame mounted tire carrier options?

Went the Masai 4x4 heavy duty route - #1 DHL is fast ordered on a Tuesday and at more door on the east coast Friday. #2 The unit is well built, solid paint job #3 Directions are a little vague especially when it comes to mounting the fixing plate to the door. #4 looks like it was designed to...

    Springs: OEM vs The aftermarket

Currently in the hunt for a new set of front springs to support an ARB bull bar + winch (+200lb) hanging of the front end. Research indicated a set of HD land rover (rear) springs would support the additional weight without providing additional lift OR decreasing ride quality. Unfortunately RN...

    Frame mounted tire carrier options?

Need to explore my options on how to carrier a 255/85/16 tire. I would "like" to avoid drilling into the body. I'm currently without a rear bumper but was hoping to also install an NAS style rear bumper - however a tire carrier takes priority. I'm leaning towards ORE, but I'd like to find...

    Hello NAS/ROW folks -

    - The miles will go up steadily just not in inclement salty weather. I have two gallons of fluid film in the garage and I've sprayed a dozen or so vehicles over the past 10 years. I spray my truck at least twice a year. Keeps the underside nice and glossy! New England is not nice to these units...

    Hello NAS/ROW folks -

That was was my primary focus. Find the absolute best starting point, un molested & no rust. Throughout my ownership I intend to keep as original as possible - whatever modifications I do make I can undo. I recently took out the rear seats and added a single NAS style bench seat.

    Hello NAS/ROW folks -

New England provides a lot of opportunities to use it as it was intended. The tires were added soon after it landed while I was going through the mechanicals before registration. The 205 tires that it came with originally got the job done but we're not going to hold up to my intended travels...

What have you done to your DEFENDER today?

No chunks whatsoever, the magnet attached to the drain plug is rather powerful and makes the fine particulars look like spikes chunks (definitely raised an eyebrow when I first looked). On the shop rag it is very fine "etch-a-sketch" dust. - The truck has a solid maintenance history, could...

What have you done to your DEFENDER today?

    Rear seat placement

I thought about that option myself - I just don't know if they fold flat. I really like the shoulder belt system being integrated and not anchored off the hardtop. I've not seen an example of this in a defender through all my searching online.

    Rear seat placement

Do you have any pictures? I think I've seen the airline tracks as an inlay within a wooden floor.

    Rear seat placement

@Giftshopduane Agreed - it is an ROW unit so I do have a degree of freedom as to it's precise location (but I hope my final measurements put me on point). 3*4" plate for the center lap belt anchor point and 2*2" plates for the opposite ends of the seat belts. I'm going to make up gaskets in...

    Rear seat placement

I've removed the rear side benches from my D90, And I have sort of stay NAS Style rear bench forward facing seat. (Excuse the mess, the rear floor is being repainted) I've downloaded the Land Rover PDF for 1995+ illustrating the position of the rear seat - As stated it is approximately 17"...

    Roof rack options / modifications

The foot is approximately a foot in total length bent along a radius. At the top there's a small pedestal welded on which serves to brace and support one of the horizontal cross bars. Hoping to ideas - considering fabricating my own.

    Roof rack options / modifications

I've explored "D" - with some creative carpentry I might be able to achieve 1/2 inch a vertical space but that would require me to redo some flashing as well not really interested in that... I appreciate where your head is at though!

    Roof rack options / modifications

The Defender fit (with its roof rack) in the garage until I put 255/85's on her last week. I had to load the back end down with 350 pounds of wood pellets to sneak into the garage. Tire fitment is spot on and if I removed the roof rack completely I could pull in with ease, but I would like to...
