Interesting... My wife has a 2017 X5 with the HUD, and we love it.

Yeah, I came here to post that LR Time video because it really shows how far the truck has come from the prototype to the pre-production. By the time the majority of us see them in the States, they will be dialed in quite well.

    1995 Range Rover Classic LWB

Alright, no surprises here, but I'm coming up on the end of good weather, and I'm going to put this thing away for long-term storage unless someone wants to take it off my hands. I've had a few interested parties, one that was close, but maybe someone here is interested in this project. Make me...

    300tdi whistle on acceleration

I had something like this that I could swear had nothing to do with a leak along the turbo in/out because I had carefully seated and tightened everything, and there was no sign of anything loose.... it was a leak somewhere along the turbo in/out. If I remember correctly, it was the fresh air...

    1995 Range Rover Classic LWB

Here we go. I will consider any reasonable offer. Be sure to read all of this if you are interested. The Good: Pretty complete, no major missing components. It runs. It drives and turns left and right. It stops well, lots of feedback in the pedal. The engine seems to pull fairly well. (SEE...

Question for anyone familiar with Audi 2.0t

This may actually be what happened... When we bought the car, the guy had done a lot of the engine work on it himself. I'm not sure how good he was, but everything seemed to check out in the pre-buy inspections. Work included the cam follower and timing chain just 10k miles ago. So the mechanic...

Never mind, I think this is my answer: Pretty good look at both ends.

Question for anyone familiar with Audi 2.0t

Am I correct that this engine has a timing belt (front) and also a cam timing chain (rear)? It is a 2006 A3 2.0, that we bought last winter, got some work done on it, then delivered it to my son last spring. I don't know this vehicle too well, and we are needing to get it repaired long distance...

    Finally mounted the tent

Nice. I like that you reserved some rack space in the rear. I've avoided RTTs because of the cost and because they take so much of the rack away, but I finally got a RTT this summer and ended up building a lift in the garage to make it 'easy' to pull off. Getting it on is still going to be a...

    Newish Engine

The inside of the pump looks totally clean. Questions: Since this is an older version of the 4.2, I’d like to fit it to my ‘95 by swapping the front cover and pulleys over to the new engine. I will also be taking what good hoses I can find, the new dizzy and leads than only have a few hundred...

    This Start Problem....

I did not work on this today. The vehicle seems to be back in a good mood, and the problem is difficult to trace if it can’t be replicated when I’ve got the probes on the wires! It has a tendency to act normal for a while, then go back to about 25-30% of the time not starting. I cleaned all...

    What's Your dB?

Get the app! I am curious about what others are experiencing. I’m doing a lot of noise abatement, and I think it is just barely working, but hard to know unless I have some comparison.

    This Start Problem....

But I thought a small gauge wire has more resistance in a given circuit than a larger one of the same length. So wouldn’t a last strand hanging on do the same thing? Mainly I’m looking for old, corroded connections.

    Newish Engine

I think a few of the hoses are OK, but even ones that look OK do have splits in them here or there. I have a new dizzy and leads already, and may look into swapping the front cover for a serp type. I'll see if I can get a look into the water pump as well.
