I had the same issue. Contacted them and they sent me a new oneSo all I did was bust my LOF clutch spring. This was after about a year of use. Why do I bother with these sorts of “upgrades?”

I just installed on in my TD5 clutch box…. Too much assist and it inverts and pedal stays at floor! I have it now adjusted so it barely doesn’t but working that out. Only use LOF spring with older style box…. I forgot my new box was TD5!So all I did was bust my LOF clutch spring. This was after about a year of use. Why do I bother with these sorts of “upgrades?”

i don’t want a replacement, it‘a a totally inessential part that doesn’t do anyth8ng meaningful. It’s just got one less wind on each side of the spring and I prefer the more positive return action on the stock spring.I had the same issue. Contacted them and they sent me a new one
LOF spring doesn’t even work with the old-style pedal, that is to say pre-94. All NAS style are identical to TD5 and later unless I’m missing something.I just installed on in my TD5 clutch box…. Mine did the same after similar time frame. Went in the trash. Stock spring back in.So all I did was bust my LOF clutch spring. This was after about a year of use. Why do I bother with these sorts of “upgrades?”

Well, let me rephrase this, as other things changed too. Use of the LOF spring with QuickDraws R2.8 clutch kit,the Dorman slave upgrade (such as Lav recommends) and the later style box has a tendency to invert. in retrospect, I recall that Dorman/LOF has had others experience this…. (And glad I kept original spring too as spare with all those broken!)LOF spring doesn’t even work with the old-style pedal, that is to say pre-94. I hate to be contrarian, but...an option for new or old black knobs:Not sure about the shiny aluminum in an all black interior. Getting rid of the original knobs that would spin & even come off unexpectedly is a long overdue improvement. There was no fixing the old ones.

You are. 93 NAS 110 and some 94 NAS D90 have the old style pedal. VIN cut offs are in the RN link for the spring. #837 has the old pedal box, #838 has the new one. Is that when they switched to R380? Seems early for that, but I am only checking one obscure NAS rover parts fact this evening.LOF spring doesn’t even work with the old-style pedal, that is to say pre-94. I was hedging because my 93 NAS has the old style but both 94s I’ve had were equipped with the new style IIRC, but they were also both R380 trucks. I think there are only two styles except TD5 had a slight variation where they added a position sensor to the clutch master. You are. 93 NAS 110 and some 94 NAS D90 have the old style pedal. A more evilfij hack way of doing this is JB weld. But since I went with the ice cube/hand burner aluminium one I don’t concern myself with the plastic knobs anymore.I hate to be contrarian, but...an option for new or old black knobs:
1. find a suitable nut that threads onto the stick
2. thread it on and keep track of the orientation
3. take it off
4. heat it up to near cherry red
5. while hot, carefully press it into the base of a black knob, keeping the alignment in mind so that the knob it right way up when fully threaded on
6. while cooling, enjoy a frosty one
7. thread it on and be done with the crappy rubber bushings
