WTB Series truck

I've been searching ebay, auction sites, craigslist, autotempest, etc. to no avail.

Looking for a SI, II, IIa or even III with patina. I'm OK with something needing mechanical work, but don't want a project that has to be assembled or rusted frames/bulkheads. Preferably something older than a SIII. 88" or 109" 3-door. Not really interested in a 5 door unless a perfect opportunity fell in my lap. My ideal truck is a 109" pick up in Marine Blue (if I'm dreaming).

Budget is $10k, but that has to figure in shipping, etc..I may be able to go a little higher if the right vehicle comes along. Ike did have two nice candidates for me that were just above my budget, but with shipping they were too much.

You are going to have a pretty hard time with that I think.

A 109" is likely not going to fit within your budget and your requirements.

There is a cool 69' Bugeye (88") for sale in NY (sorta close) that meets all of your requirements and then some, but it's just above what you want to pay. If you go to GNR and search for a 69' Bugeye for sale by 71exmod you will find it. It's a nice truck.

There is also a really cool SII 59' for sale in MT, but it too is going to be above your budget with shipping. It would be pretty close though...........search for red61rover.

I also know of a 74" Series III here in SC that is for sale at a reasonable price. Galvanized chassis, etc.... that will be sub $10K. It's not perfect, but is a good start if you are interested.

I'd post links, but I'm having trouble over there with access from my wifi.

Check with Robert, I've convinced him to sell off his series trucks and parts. @ 62 he's never going to get to most of them. He has a bunch.

The MT truck sold, otherwise that is the one I would buy.

While I am on the low side of prices today I know I can find something. Almost every truck I've bought before came from my local club. The prices are always better from people in the hobby.

I don't have the time or inclination to put something back together like Robert's project.

What's the SIII in SC?
