I'll put in a good word for the psyopticdevelopment sliders. They are my favorite upgrade so far. Super heavy duty!

Man, I don't like any of these sliders. I like the mounting outriggers of the Psyoptic ones but they stick way too far out. I'm not wheeling in the trees. I just need underside rock protection and something to punish the door-dingers. I also want to find some that are notched for the ex-MOD fuel lockers so I don't have to cut the doors like a total hack.

I'm going to email Psyoptic and ask if they can build what I want.

Psyoptic has 2 different ones. Those are the step version. He also has the non step version.

I also like the Masai ones as my 2nd choice. http://www.masai4x4.com/Tree-Sliders-for-Land-Rover-Defender-90-and-110-Rock-Sliders-p3524313

Along with a ton of powdercoating/painting I might get these at the end of the summer.

I have had ideas of making my own and read a few threads on the Psyotic ones. Not sure if he got around to it but he was considering a DIY version where he would make the mounts.

Making some changes like Chris said above sounds like a cool idea.

I seem to remember someone saying the Masai ones were shitty and started rusting after a few years. But I have no clue where I read that.

What I would really like is a standard slider, with the tree guard coming off at a 45 degree angle to make a nice step to get in. I've got a kid and a wife that would really appreciate it.

I haven't heard back from Psyoptic yet. In other developments, I found a local fabricator that does high-end stuff that will build whatever I want. When I get the truck back on the road later this week, I'm going to run it by and see if we can design something. If there is interest, I will offer some ex-MOD sliders up.

There are sliders for MoD trucks? Need to look this up.

I'm really wanting to build my own. I figure if there was ever a cool project to learn to weld on.... But I have a guy down the road that does good work, so I'll probably go with him: http://www.caseyscustom.com/products.html

Some of his stuff looks home made, but then a there are others that are really amazing looking. I've seen his work, it's good stuff.

Yes. I'm interested. Keeping the lockers in tact on the Tith would be ideal and still have a decent set of sliders.

I might be as well. That was actually the next project I have in mind, building sliders that leave my fuel lockers intact.

Did you ever follow up with your local fab guy to see if he can make some slider for the Tith?

Not yet. I've been stretched thin with work and kiddos and trying to get ready for a trip. I plan on stopping there when I get back. I'll post up when I have something.

I'm determined to make it happen. I really want these sliders. My sills look like shit and I can't bring myself to paint them.
