You really would not want 1200 W of LEDs. Beyond the electrical system not being able to keep up, the amount of light would be much too high. Relays would not be suitable. You would need a contactor or a solenoid rated for that level of continuous draw.



When I bench tested it and stared directly into the lights it only took me 5 minutes to regain sight.
Figure that?s about 300watts give or take.

If you have 1200 watts (at 12v you would draw 100 amps), there will be no labels to check. They would have all burned off!

When I was in the navy, one of the deck department guys on the destroyer looked at the sun through the big eyes (high powered binoculars mounted on the bridge wing). When asked the degree of damage he did to his eyes, the corpsman responded, “full on dumbass.”
