Winter Romp 2023

Dates Feb 17 to 20
Location The usual one, Sebasticook Millenium Green,

More soon, but those wanting to stay at the Best Western, they are down to their last 25 or so rooms

For those not in the know, our ever energetic host was seriously hurt by an uncontrolled excavator that was there to prepare and repair access to the Green and neighboring properties. He is unable to put the countless hours he does to make this happen.

It's all the more important that we step up and help prepare for the event. I am trying to pull together a group to go there and work, wheel and winch our way around the land. This is happening October 21 to 23 please dm me if you can come. The Best Western has these dates pre booked for something else but openings hoped for.

To anyone hesitant on coming or new to off-roading, this is a great event to get your toes wet with.

Good family fun too.

These things you can do on the Winter Romp site.

Register (required to attend), buy event T shirt (shipping available if not coming), buy a lottery ticket for a 2000 Discovery (proceeds to fund trail improvements), sign up for the Friday night dinner.

One more thing, you can also buy the official ANARC 75th T shirt to.

I'm heading up Thursday, trailering my 90 behind Clifford the big red truck.....(blame wife for that name)

There were plenty of stuck trucks, plenty of breakages. Plenty of food, drink and seeing old friends,
Just a few teasers. Lots more on the Winter romps Facebook page.

Breakages new Defenders include the main radiator speared by a tree branch,
LR3/4 Steering rack (replaced on trails with used part removed from a dead truck), other vehicles, cv joints, brake lines, tires popping beads,
Great things to have Kinetic ropes on real recovery points.
I’m very happy with the way the weekend went. Truck behaved properly throughout and I lost track of the number of people I gave a tug out of holes.

Great to see so many families out and about having fun,
