Will D2 seats work in an RRC?

I didn't realize that RRC rear seats only have a lap belt in the middle. I have three kids so would like to have a shoulder belt there, so I've been thinking about fitting a D2 rear seat. It looks like it would not be too hard to make it work. I also need a new drivers seat so I'm wondering if the D2 front seats will work in an RRC? Particularly the power functions. I think the mounting wouldn't be too hard to solve. Anyone have any experience with this?

Anything will work with enough time and money! I know people have put Range Rover Classic seats into Discos before. You could probably get a set from a junkyard for next to nothing to see if it fits.

I think the rear seat arm rests are one of the coolest things about Range Rover Classics.

Agreed although the only rear occupants in mine are the 2 Labs so the arm rests don't see much use.

Either you do not put then down for them or you did not train them how to do it themselves? Labs could probably change your oil with an hour of training.

My rear arm rests are the most pristine part of my RRC. In 28 years I would bet they've seen no more than 28 min of exposure.

Be interesting to see not only if the base bolts up, but also whether the upright is held by the same latch system.

😎 Actually other than lowering them when vacuuming out the brown fur, they don't see the light of day as well.

Hey Rift Rover,
I know this is an old thread. But would love to know if you've actually managed to bolt those D2 Bench and Seat into your RRC.
Am thinking about doing the same to mine...
