Wheel Arches - Body Color?

I'm on the fence. I should have my 110 painted in a couple weeks (priming now) but not sure if I want to paint the arches body color or not. The color is close to Keswick green. My other option is to go with a flat/matte black.

For those that have painted them, do I need to use a plastic primer or adhesion agent, or would I be okay with some 2k and then top coat?

Thanks

Personally, I'd go with Matte. Much easier to touch-up if you bump an obstacle. Plus, the contrast adds to the overall appeal, IMO.
I like your color choice. I was zeroing-in on a similar color scheme for my 90.

Yeah I think I'm going to go with a matte finish. I've read that SEM paint works pretty well. Great point on future scratches...sure I'll get some.

Here's what Keswick arches look like with the body colour. Fronts aren't on yet.

That looks amazing. You have a contrast with the white though...my roof is keswick as well so maybe a matte arch would help break it up (with matching matte black grill and grill inserts)

Ah yes with the Keswick roof you might want to break it up a bit.

My rule of thumb is that if the body is a metallic color then the wheel arches should match the body.

Personally I prefer colour matched especially on newer colours. If the paint is matt (military style) go black matt if it is glossy or metallic go colour matched.

Paint it body color so it will match. Then plasti-dip with a black. If you don't like it, you can remove the plasti-dip and have perfectly matched arches.

Yeah good tip! Do I need a flex agent in the paint if I go this route? Im using PPG Shopline

Chris did your Tith wheel arches come black? Mine came painted body color

We replaced them with new...

Coffee-Run trucks can get away with whatever floats your boat. If your truck is a tool and you use it - no paint on the soft parts that make contact. Brush guards and skid plates are perfect examples of the approach to hard surfaces that make contact - no paint or easy to touch up generic color for rust protection.

When a sagebrush needs crushed, or a tree branch needs nudged and you over-flex a non-painted eyebrow there is no drama. WHEN it cracks or rips out you order one and replace it without having to color match three-four year old paint.

Brian can get the glossy black ones (I think they look like shit) or the sweet matte ones like the NAS trucks came with.
