Same as when lived in Brazil where LR manufactured Defenders as the import tax was 100% on Rovers coming in like Rangies.In the U.S., ROW usually means everything other than NAS (North American Spec). In the UK, I believe ROW does not include UK vehicles.

Would be interesting to know what were the differences amongst the various Country specs.ROW Spec Defenders were also made in the UK. They have features, parts and specifications made for "rest of world." They were not necessarily made to be sold domestically in the UK. MOD's/NAS's all have various parts of ROW and are very similar in that regard.

Never will forget visiting the Saò Paulo Defender plant and having the manager tell me “his” Defenders don’t leak like the GB ones! Must admit, our 110 didn’t.

Ours was a 2003 and had the International HS 2.8 turbo diesel in it. Actually nothing leaked on that Rover including the roof even during Brasil rainy season. Transfer box LT230 and typical R380 transmission. Shame we couldn’t have brought it back home with us legally. It was pretty cool as you could order Sandglow and standard tires were 7.50 R16 XZLs on steelies. Shut the plant in 2005.haha.. the leakage is the feature.. Its how you know it has oil in it!
Although I would be curious to know, do the Brazilian ones use a different power plant and drivetrain to NAS-ROW trucks? for example the parenties from australia use an isuzu engine.. for sure that thing isnt leaking as much as the soulihil units.
