Webasto Lock Out- Code Reading?

My Webasto has locked up. I have the procedure to unlock it and reset it.

I would like to be able to read the code and find out why it did this. The code reader is $600. Anyone have another way to do it without buying that? Is there a timer/display that would tell me the code?I think one of the multi timers will but I'm not sure. Anyone have any experience with this?

I never found the code readers helpful to be honest. The units are often too hot and can have air in the fuel line. I did switch over to clear hose for this reason so that I can visual see the bubbles when present. When disconnected from power, I’ve purged the lines and reprimed. Good results when pump assembly is mounted on an angle and allowing system to warm up before turning to maximum heat.

Depends on the control assembly you have. Manual knob- yes. Multi function calander digital display-no. With the MF display, battery disconnect completely required.
