So…I have a Webasto coolant heater that has been installed, removed, and now installed again. Currently I am trying to finish the wiring. I have a new harness to replace the previous one that was “modified” to have a remote start.
On the harness I have the following:
- a red and brown wire that I believe is the 12v power
- the two connections to the actual webasto
- the connector for the controller
- a blue and brown wire (together) that I believe are to connect to the blower if I choose
- a thickset gauge red and black wire (together) that I don’t know what to do with.
So, am I correct it what I have identified so far and does anyone know what the trickier red/black pair are for?
And this is how the unit was mounted- is it ok sitting this way or does it matter? I believe this was the original installation when it last worked based on the “custom” bracket that was made.
Thanks,
Alex
