Way to counter sink power window button

I've been trying to look at mud stuff, but anyone have a cleaner way to mount power window buttons? I feel like it sticks out too far

Get a disco ii switch panel and use the bezels?

What does the mating surfaces of the switch and the panel look like? can a longer screw or spacers be used to hold it "farther" away from the panel?

It just inserts into a cut hole. I didn't think k I'd mind the look when I first saw the switches but then upon further inspection I was like nah, gotta make it look better than that, especially with the 3 in the middle
