Visor or shade for side window?

I've thought about this for a while, but I'm wondering if anyone else knows of a solution. Since the Defender visors don't rotate, what can be done to shade the side window when the sun is in your face? Is there a rotating mount that the visors can be installed on? Mount a roller shade on the inner top of the door window? Like one made for an RV?

I tried one of those, but found it tough to use in my truck. You really need two hands to adjust it, so unless you know you're going to be headed into the setting or rising sun, it ended up being more trouble than it was worth for me. It doesn't just swing from one position to another with a friction fitting; you need to loosen the knob (or both knobs), adjust, keep it where you want it, and then tighten the knob again.

this has got your name all over it.

I just plan to get the windows tinted.

Hmm, maybe. I don't want to replace the original visors. That's why I was thinking maybe a little roller shade would work.

Don't you live in Portland? This shouldn't me much of a problem. 😂 At least it wasn't for me when I lived there.

Or ask someone with little kids; there are various shades out there. My son, a true Oregon native, would do his best little-kid-cursing of the sun whenever riding in his car seat in the D90 on those rare sunny days. To this day, I remember his "go away sun, you're being bad!" pleadings.

I personally recommend you get a Peppa Pig or Pokémon suction-cup stick-on sun shade and put it in the driver‘s side window next to your face.

I’m not sure that peppa pig or pikachu hanging out in the driver‘s window is safe or legal...

But you’re the one who recommended it... 🤷‍♂️

Take a look at the side fold down visor on a 2012-2016 Mini Countryman.
I have one in my Mini and plan to go to the junkyard, find another 1 and install it in my D90. It will look pretty oem. Even has the same curve as the side of the headliner, will just have to glue come standoffs to the inside of the roof to hold the screw clips.
