Vin plate

Hi everyone,
I have a 1997 110 that I owned for for few years, while the car was beating restored a couple of years ago, the vin plate behind the brake booster broke in half, we could not find the other half in the shop but the other half is still riveted in place, I took the car to Land Rover dealership in Morocco where the car is currently located but they no longer issue vin plate replacements, just wondering what to do next, I am thinking of importing the car over to the states and I know that would be an issue, the car is legit, matching numbers, registered and titled in my name with a heritage certificate.
Thank you for your advice and input!

Vin plates are available for sale.
Defs usually have the vin stamped on the chassis rail near the front.

Yes. The chassis rail is stamped as usual. I only have the vin tag behind the brake booster issue, do you know where I can get a vin plate? I want to make sure to do it right to avoid any issues with customs and DMV. Thank you!

A quick Google search will net you a few sources or buy a blank plate off of EBay and stamp it yourself. Just please don't do anything illegal. This community doesn't need any more scrutiny than we have already had because of a few nefarious characters.

Thank you and yes, it will be all legal, I will not drill out the original vin plate, it will be there when it gets shipped, the replacement tag will be taped to the windshield along with copies of translated title, country technical inspection and heritage certificate.
