Trailer barn find

Looking to haul this barn find home. I don't know my trailers and Frank has helped with identifying some things to consider regarding brakes and if it's a narrow v. wide trak. Maybe others could chime in with what else I shld look for with condition of these trailers.. towing concerns..?

Of course that sticker on the back will help the value. Hopefully I can tow it home with the Tithonus but probably not.. Thanks all.

Nice! They're cool little trailers. I ran a BDR behind my 110 for summer of 2023. I tore the hubs down, rebuilt with fresh grease and bearings and just ran it. tossed a set of wolfs w/ 255/85's on em. did great. was an event to back up... tire carrier was a bit tight, but you can rotate hitch sideways and get it on. I added safety chains too

For the trip, check tires and wheel bearings. Would be good for it to be empty the first time you tow it, as long as there is some tongue weight to keep it from fishtailing. When hooked up the tongue should be pretty level.
Working lights are a must.

Looks like militRy towing electrics are still in place. Do you have matching vehicle plug? If not, buy a cheap magnet set to get you home

Yes I have the plug receptacle, will see if it works.

Anyone have a guesstimate as what price range or what to offer for these? Based on pics and assuming semi-working/fixable? I still don't know if it's wide or narrow track as can't tell if there's a tailgate on the back.

Picks are a little tricky to tell for sure but tongue layout with that pintle arrangement looks like a narrow track— but a quick width measurement is easy.
1/2 & 3/4 ton (narrow track)Radio RepairWide track

Width: 1.425m
Height: 0.94m
Track: 1.2m
Wheelbase:
Weight: (laden) 1.12 tonne
Length: 3.12m
Width: 1.425m
Height: 1.82m

Like anything, condition speaks to value.
They go for well under a grand in the UK, but it costs more than that to get one here.
They're built like tanks, and there isn't much else like it. Compare price to what other trailers are available.
Many are rust buckets, esp the steel tubs.

After some 30 yrs in a barn, it's coming home! Looked at it again today and it's pretty solid all around. The outer peeling paint reveals a strong paint layer beneath. Undercarriage is most likely waxoil type and again, some undercoating that chipped away show green paint with minimal surface rust.

The pintle shaft moves freely and other mechanicals like the e-brake lever look pretty good from what I can observe. I'll trailer it home and give it some love and see what needs fixin/replacing.
