Anyone know the proper tool to extract the factory radio? (looking for stereo key, no hammers, saws or explosives!)

Thanks! 5 sided bit found at Pep Boys $4.99

Here's the part description:
"CTA T20 Torx Plus Socket - 5 Point Tamperproof"

While that would probably work, it isn't the correct tool. The factory tool looks just like an allen wrench, but has five points instead of six.

You know the cardboard hanging file folders? Yeah... On each end of them you will find a metal strip that runs from one side to the other and is what they file is actually hanging on. Pull one of those strips out, cut it in half.

This was almost exactly the right shape for a radio removal tool from a Disco I, and it worked very well for me several times in my DI and RRC trucks. Maybe it will work for you.

Jimmy is correct. I believe the early 90's Range Rovers used the same 5 sided pentagonal key. I took an Allen and ground it to fit back in the day.
