Tire Carrier Opinions

Between two tire carriers and looking for thoughts.

I’ve had the Mantec on the 110 and the part that is on the door cracked at the mounting plate. After that I was going to do a swing away for a pick up. Right now I have neither and need to choose.

I am going to convert the truck to soft top and it seems like either will work with a swing away tail gate set up.

Pros/cons/reality?

Thanks,
Alex

I've been thinking about a hitch-mounted swing-away tire carrier by Wilco. I like that it has additional receivers, but I'm not sure I'd be comfortable using those for towing much.

I have the Nakatanenga one and my truck is a softtop.

The only regret that I may have is that I didn't order the one for the pick up drop town tail gate.

My truck was already a soft top with a swing away door but when I redid the top I replaced all of the doors and would have considered doing a drop down gate at that time.

These things aren’t cheap. The SD in stainless being $2k, the ORE4x4 being $1k.
The key it seems to me is ensuring all the weight goes on to the crossmember.
Just chose what works tor you.

Leaning towards the mantec. The two posted are awesome but I don't have the $$ for those right now. Here is the broken part of my mantec- how important is having all 4 bolts vs just doing 3?

If you are down in the lowlands, you’re free to stop by and we can see if we can lay a bead on that. Cast can be tricky, but I’ve laid a few good beads on similar before. Aluminum, right? Im by Boulder— just PM me, and we can give it a go.

Does that part even bear any weight? It's been a while since I installed mine and I can't recall exactly how that piston interacts with the door/tire.
