Sway bar question, there seems to be two types of rear, do they interchange?

My LWB and my NAS 110 seem to have straight ones, RN shows one with a bend (I have two spare of those) will that fit on a 92 110? Says it will fit a 110 and 130 so I hope so, but I want to know before I shuck out for all the stuff to bolt it on.

I have this style:

I recently pulled one of those with the bend off of a 130 and if I remember correctly it is thicker than the NAS style ones

Hmmm. I have both styles in the garage, I will use my $10 calipers and measure them both. The 92 110 had no sway bar when I got it and I don’t want to pirate the one off the NAS110 (which is off but needs help). I will ask Zack tomorrow (he will sell me the mounting stuff if I have a sway bar that works, probably two sets because I always get two sets of everything). It might make up for when I ask for every screw needed on a bulkhead …. I love buying new screws in genuine bags.

PS I think @JimC gave me at least one of the sway bars with the bend.

I cant say I've seen a straight version besides the front ones. Maybe they changed designs over the years. As Jimmy mentioned, it's really thickness that makes the difference

So what you are saying is the bent one will fit my 92 110. I can take pics of the straight ones(I have two plus what I have to dig for). Admittedly they were made when you were born. But thank you my friend. 👍👨‍🌾

You can mock up the bent one on your truck. Just use a bolt on the axle ends and see if it goes to the mid point of the chassis mount.

My materials analysis classes were a long time ago, but given equal diameters doesn't that kind of a bend give a longer effective length to the bent "arm" and result in less torsional stiffness?

Yeah, it'll probably fit and no one will notice a "performance" difference anyway :)

Now I need to look at the 97 when I get home...

Fun fact ... you could re-locate the mounting clamp on late 70's R5-LeCars and get stiffer sway bars :)
