Stainless Steering Stops

Came up with these the other day when working on my 110 rebuild. The genuine ones are pretty pricey and they weren't offered on all Defenders. I designed these with my metal fab shop in Maine and had them made with slotted holes so that you dont have to endure removing the swivel bolts entirely(an annoying job). These can be added to any Disco, RRC, or Defender to prevent the stop bolt from bending, and they're less than half the price of genuine ones.

They allow the steering stop bolt to be set much shorter, and is overall a more elegant way to stop the bolt head than having it run into the corner of the swivel ball flange.

Decided to try a set. Shipped out very quickly, got them yesterday. Took all of 1 min to install, lol. Such a great design. super beefy, very well cut:

if I had my druthers and could make just one recommendation, I’d suggest cutting the tongue 1/8” longer for a little better bolt engagement if not using the specific large-head limiter bolt. Regardless, I’d get them angain and strongly recommend them if yours are missing! Thanks for a thoughtful design, Zack!

edit. Poop. I just checked my other Defender and realized I don’t have them there either! Guess I’ll be ordering another pair! (Zack— feel free to send them out, charge the same card, lol!)
