I live in NYC, but have no issue traveling if you have personally delt with and have good experience with a shop(not going by the Google doc list as I've used 2 of those shops listed with bad results) so when I said northeast, I'm talking PA, CT, MA, upstate NY, hell even Vermont if it means I can have peace of mind

There are a couple on that list that I wouldn't touch with a 10 foot pole.
If you can add anybody Jason at https://www.eurosportphoenix.com is a square shooter with a great shop located in PHX,

Two additional updates on the spreadsheet:
Blue Ridge Rover Rover Works in Asheville (Sean Jones) has closed up (very sad!)
Eurover in Greenville, SC no longer has a working website (most likely also closed).

I've been in contact with Chris, he gets very busy n trying to get an appointment has been tough so I'm just looking for a backup if he cant do it. The timing belt is my main concern

I also live in NYC, and I've used what used to be called "Sports and Classics" on 74th street and has now changed their name and moved to 126th and 1st. They routinely have rovers of various vintage in the shop. They are not perfect, but they're decent. Louis runs the front and is responsive, but if you have any real questions you'll want to speak to Rich or one of the (long serving) mechanics. 212 838 8888

They replaced a steering box for me a few years ago, and while it caused some consternation, they ultimately got it done in pretty short order. There's a thread on here. I think they got confused about what came off my truck and some other random box they had laying around. Had I been smarter at the time, once I knew the box needed to be replaced, I would have just emailed Zach and had him send the appropriate bits.

Trevor, BTW, rewired my truck and he's awesome. Sad that he's decided to turn it in.
I have heard good things about Chris, but last time we chatted he did it in his spare time, so, yes, scheduling was a challenge.

Well since you mentioned it:

Congleton Service
354 Prim Rd
Colchester, VT 05446

He specializes in RRC yet services Defenders as well. Have sent my ‘94 Rangie and ‘96 D1 to him and have total piece of mind driving them back to Rockwood, PA.
