Safety Devices roll cage removal- what about the holes?

I am looking into changing the configuration of my 110 and that might be removing the NAS style roll cage. What are some thoughts on what to do with the holes in the body? I like the patina of my 110 so I don't want to start replacing panels and I am thinking I will probably leave the feet from the cage in place.

Thoughts on how to cover the holes? I think someone has done this before and had some plates made that they bolted to the feet. I'm also sure there is a better way to explain and ask this question.

Thanks,
Alex

Which holes? I saw one with a softop and it looks like they just bolted on pieces of aluminium (probably scrap door parts) for the four holes in the tub and painted them alpine white, but they had the front cage, I don’t see why it would not work for the front fenders with an appropriate piece. The install kit comes with steel plates for fitting, not sure if they work for front fenders( I doubt it) but you could use those for the tub holes (they are black). 7:19 in this video

Thanks evilfij.

Those plates would be perfect. At least that would work for 4 of them. Happen to know how they fitted a soft top and kept the front cage?

East Coast Rover does beach runners with the soft top on a 110. I believe there are some other options as well.

Get a cage install kit from someone who bought a kit as an aftermarket item. They all have these plates that are used for aligning the mounting locations before bolting on the hoops. These would be obvuo quite visible (less so if you painted them) but in my mind would look more like “covered hard points” as opposed to “badly disguised holes” which is a risk with some random solution. And you can likely get these free or cheap from someone, they come with literally every cage sold in a crate. There is also a slightly different piece for the front fenders.
