RRC O2 Sensors

Working on a ’93 RRC with a 3.9L with 98,000 miles

It has the original O2 sensors. The owner wants to know if it’s worth to replace the O2 sensors.

The engine runs well, no codes. When linked with RoverGage, both the lambda fuel trims are adjusting +/- while the engine is running…

Thoughts?

Cheers…

I'd leave them be.

Last 02 job I did, I had the threads tear out and caused a lot of annoying work.

IMHO don’t touch it. They tend to last pretty well. If you are getting terrible mpg, then I would consider changing them.
My experience as well. When we took our ‘94 over to Switzerland in 2001 it had the original O2 sensors. Filled it with fresh Swiss non-ethanol 91 octane gas and had no issues passing the emission inspection. Of course it still failed the regular inspection as the tires didn’t have a noise rating symbol on them. 😂 Rover dealer convinced them that the US doesn’t have noise rating regs and they passed it.
