I've got an AC in my LHD 300 Tdi that looks a lot like the one sold by Rovers North. Install was two owners ago, I'd say late 2000s, 2007 or 2008 maybe. Anyway, between the installer not doing a good job and a cheap-o plastic grommet, a hole wore through the high pressure line where it goes through the firewall. Is there a source for a replacement line? Nothing on the Rovers North web site jumps out as matching.
The hole is about 1/4" long and 1/16" wide. A quick search brought up this stuff called "Super Alloy 5" for soldering aluminum lines - anyone used this or something similar? I think I could probably splice the line, but the hole is right at the firewall, which would mean enlarging the hole for the line; I may enlarge it a bit anyway as I'd like to put on a larger grommet.
Otherwise it's a couple trips into town and back (an hour each way) to either have this one fixed or a new one made.
Thanks
