Ribbed roof question

Looking to take advantage of the LK8 group buy on safety devices roll cages.

I like the external cage look, but according to LK8 sight, the external cage won't clear my ribbed roof.
I assume the support under the ribbed roof is different than a smooth.
If it isn't, has anyone removed the ribs and sealed the holes to make a smooth roof?
Seems like a recipe for an ugly roof top. I don't know that I would mess with that.

Because of the ribs, I'm leaning toward the internal 4 point cage in the back with an external front roll cage.

I think it is on the ECR site. It's possible to fit it but you'll have to deny the ribs in a little to fit the external bar in a few places where it interferes. If you're keeping it forever then I'd just do that if you want external or buy a smooth roof. It's easy to swap roofs.

You dimple the ribs in a bit and it fits fine. That's what was done on my truck.

Interesting. I have ribs and have been aiming at one of the SD cages that just covers the cab externally. Then comes down internally at the B pillar. Hadn't hear of dimpling or tweaking the ribs. Every truck's going to be different.

It's only on the full NAS exo cage, whichever model that is.
